In the heartbeat of Chicago's sports scene, a dream of mine has become a reality. This dream defines my journey as an athlete, coach, and entrepreneur. It carries the hopes and aspirations of athletes and the entire city. As the first Black woman to own a sports franchise in Chicago, I am in awe of the path that led me to this historic moment.

This journey has been a testament to my commitment to sports and my refusal to be confined by limitations. From overcoming challenges to embracing opportunities to promoting the WNFC, each step has been a brick in the foundation of this groundbreaking achievement.

The road to ownership has been anything but conventional, marked by hard work, passion, and an unwavering belief that diversity is our strength. My commitment as a leader is clear—to create an inclusive environment within the organization where differences are celebrated, propelling us toward unparalleled success.

As a leader, I'm dedicated to fostering a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our differences make us strong, and by embracing them, we're creating memories and opportunities.

I am fully aware of the responsibility of being a trailblazer and ready to confront challenges head-on. They are opportunities for growth and positive change. This is my chance to challenge the norms, redefine possibilities for women, especially Black women, in the sports industry, and leave an unforgettable mark on Chicago's sporting legacy.

With its resilience and spirit, Chicago is the perfect stage for unfolding this dream. This city's heartbeat…The fans, the community, and the town itself are rallying behind me, ready to witness a new era of sports leadership in Women's football that mirrors the diversity and strength of the Windy City.

As I take the reins of this sports franchise, I'm not just fulfilling a dream I've had for years; I'm carrying the plans of those who will follow. I'm beyond proud to stand here as a trailblazer for myself and those who dare to challenge the norms. This opportunity isn't just mine—it's a chance to break down barriers and reshape the future of sports ownership for women of color.
